Vaishno Devi Temple

Vaishno Devi Temple is a highly revered shrine located at Pimpri in Pune District of Maharashtra. Pimpri is about 20 km north-west of Pune.

Built in 1993, this beautiful temple is dedicated to Goddess Vaishno Devi. It is of similar architecture and design as that of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine situated at Katra in Jammu and Kashmir.

The temple is nestled amid the huge bare rocks and coconut plantation. The inside of the temple is hexagonal in shape. The walls are decorated with beautiful paintings. In order to see the idol of goddess, one has to crawl through a small cave. A spring located near the temple adds to the scenic beauty.
