Pimpri




Pimpri, one among the twin towns of Pimpri–Chinchwad, is a prominent industrial settlement located north-west of Pune, on the Pune-Mumbai highway, in Maharashtra.

Places of tourist interest include the Vaishnav Devi temple, Appughar in Nigdi, Bhakti Shakti, Durga Devi Hill Park, Chhatrapati Shivaji Kridanagari in Balewadi and the Moraya Gosavi Temple at Chinchwad. Excursions to various locales in and around Pune would be a nice option.

Nearest airport is at Pune. Chinchwad Railway Station, on the Mumbai-Pune broad gauge line, is the nearest railway station. Pune Junction Railway Station (18 km) is the major railhead nearby. By road, Pimpri is linked with Pune, Mumbai, Nasik and Ahmednagar.
