Uparwara

Uparwara is a small settlement in Raipur District of Chhattisgarh. Raipur, the district headquarters is about 7 km north. The town lies about 6 km east of Kendri and 7 km west of Nawagaon. Nimora (4 km west), Rakhi (4 km north) and Abhanpur (9 km south) are the other neighboring towns. Mahant Ghasidas Memorial Museum, Mahakoshal Art Gallery, Maharajabandh Lake, Nandanvan Garden, Mathpurena and Budhapara Lake are the major places to visit near the town. Pilgrim centers include Shwetamber Jain Temple, Shri Jagannath Dev Temple, Hatkeswar Mahadev Temple and Doodhadhari Monastery and Temple. The nearest access points are Raipur Airport and Raipur Junction Railway Station.
