Doodhadhari Monastery and Temple is a 17th century shrine, located on the southern part of Raipur
, the capital city of Chhattisgarh
. The temple, situated on the banks of Maharajbandh River, enshrines Lord Ram
as the presiding deity.
This beautiful shrine, built by King Jaitsingh, is exquisitely garnished with carved images of various gods and goddesses. The monastery was named after Swami Balbhadra Das who only had 'Doodh' (milk) as his food. Burials of the former Mahants can also be sighted here.
