Ulsoor




Ulsoor is a residential area close to M G Road the heart line of urban Bangalore. Formerly known as Halsur, it was founded originally by the ruler Kempe Gowda in 1900.

Someshwara Temple, established by Adi Shankaracharya, and Ramakrishna Mutt are the major religious centers at Ulsoor. Ulsoor Lake offers boating facility and is dotted with small islands. Many shopping havens are also located around Ulsoor.

Ulsoor is 13 km from Bangalore International Airport.
