Tirukkozhi, one of the
108 Divya Desam, situated about 3 km from
Tiruchirapalli, in
Tamil Nadu. The temple is close to
Srirangam across the
Cauvery River.
The temple has a large mandapam with pillars ornamented with exquisite sculptures. There are several mandapams with shrines dedicated to
Alwars and the Acharyas. There is a shrine dedicated to
Thiruppaan Alwar on the north of the temple tank.
During the month of Pankuni (March-April), the image of Ranganathar from Srirangam is brought in procession to this temple and Kalyana Utsavam (Marriage Festival) is celebrated on the day prior to Panguni Utram.
