Perched at an altitude of about 13526 ft above sea level, Thangra is a small village in
Leh District of
Jammu and Kashmir. It is about 11 km from
Gandpa and
Rhongo.
Nawi lies in the western side of Thangra whereas Derub is to the eastern side. Gandpa Gompa is within a short distance from here.
One can approach Thangra from Tashigang.
