St Joseph's Home for the Aged and Destitute, run by Samaritan Sisters, commenced its activities in 1968 at Podanur in
Coimbatore,
Tamil Nadu. The home admits old people of both sexes above the age of 55 years who do not have any source of income or family members. The care takers and specially appointed nurses look after the old and senile with great care and commitment.
