Sri Prasanna Seetharama Mandira




Sri Prasanna Seetharama Mandira is one of the oldest Ram temples in Mysore, Karnataka. It was built in 1929 by the well known musician Bidaram Krishnappa. Constructed in old traditional architecture, its walls are adorned with old paintings of veteran musicians. The Mandira houses a portrait of Lord Ram in pattabhisheka posture.

Regular worships are conducted. Ramayana parayan, navagraha puja, Surya namaskar and maha mangalarathi are performed during the celebration of Ramnavami. The Sri Prasanna Seetharama Mandira hosts music concerts by famous musicians in festival occasions.

Sri Prasanna Seetharama Mandira is accessible by Mysore Junction Railway Station.
