Surya Namaskar

Surya Namaskar (Salutation to the Sun) is a yoga posture practiced to maintain youth. All parts of the body are involved in the process. It is ideally performed at dawn, facing the rising sun. A Vedic ritual, Surya Namaskar is done in about 15 steps with 7 postures. This stimulates digestion and reduces abdominal abnormalities. Dermatological problems can also be avoided. Daily practice of Surya Namaskar makes the spine and joints flexible and trims one's waist.
