Sri Kaumara Mutt

Sri Kaumara Mutt was founded in Coimbatore by Thavathiru Ramanantha Adigalar, a devotee of Lord Muruga, in the early years of the 20th century to propagate Muruga cult. The ashram has a temple complex which contains temples of Lord Ganesh, Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu and Lord Surya. There is a separate temple for Lord Muruga. The mutt conducts discourses on Hinduism and its allied subjects on every Friday, and various festivals are celebrated with great devotion. Besides the spiritual activities, the mutt runs schools, hostels, computer center and a library. Its publication department brings out rare religious books in Tamil.

Sri Kaumara Mutt is 8 km north of Coimbatore Bus stand, and 15 km from the C A Coimbatore Airport.
