Soundarya Nathar-Azhagiya Nathar Temple is situated at Tiruppanaiyur near
Nannilam in
Tiruvarur District. It is at a distance of 5 km from Tiruppugalur. The chief deity is Lord Azhagiya Nathar along with Goddess Periya Nayaki. The temple contains two
prakarams and also houses a small shrine of Taalavaneswarar. Saints
Sambandar and Sundarar have contributed pathigams praising the lord. The sthala vriksham (sacred tree) is panai and the
teertham (temple tank) is Amrita Pushkarini.
