Nannilam is a pilgrimage center located in Tiruvarur District. It is 30 km from Kumbakonam. There are many temples in and around Nannilam. Agneeshwarar temple, 1 mile west of Nannilam, is the famous one. A branch of the river Cauvery called the Mudikondan, flows through this place. Manikkavannar temple is about 9 km from Nannilam on the road to Nagore. Seeyathamangai temple is 15 km away at Thirumarugal.
