Roopankar Museum of Fine Arts, housed inside the Bharat Bhavan complex at
Bhopal, is the only museum of arts in India which displays both contemporary urban, folk and tribal art. Founded in the early 1980s, the museum has done momentous work in preserving various art forms, and promotes artists by conducting regular exhibitions.
The lush plateau on which the museum is located overlooks the
Upper Lake and the city of Bhopal across it.
