Mayittara is a small village situated near Cherthala, in Alappuzha District. It is located on National Highway 47, about 5 km south of Cherthala and around the same distance west of Elanjakulangara.
The historical site of Vayalar, Thuravoor Mahakshethram and Thanneermukkom Bund are interesting spots around.
