Mankada




Mankada village is located in Malappuram District of Kerala. It lies around 15 km east of Malappuram, the district headquarters. Nenmeni, Pandalur, Kootilangadi, Kezhattur and Vadakkangara are the neighboring villages.

The village is famous for the Mankada Kootil Sivakshethram, a thousand-year-old shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. Kadannamanna Thekkineadath Temple is situated nearby.

The nearest airport is Calicut Airport. Tirur Railway Station serves this area. Mankada can be easily accessed by local buses and taxis from Malappuram and Perinthalmanna.
