Malleshwar Temple

Malleshwar Temple, located at Chandrakona in West Bengal, is a 60 ft high temple, probably built in the 18th century. The temple was constructed during the period of Raja Kirti Chandra of Burdwan.

There is a hollow about 21 ft deep in the floor of the temple. The upper edge is made of stone and the basin is built of laterite slabs. Water enters through the two openings of the slabs, and the hollow is filled on particular nights.
