Madangad Mountain lies in the
Igatpuri region (Southern range) of
Western Ghats. Situated at an altitude of 4,842 ft above sea level, the place can be identified by the huge hole on its western end. The pinnacle is situated above this hole. To enter the fort one has to climb a steep rock face of 20 m. Madangad Mountain is a favorite spot for adventure enthusiasts.
