Lebang Gumani

A kind of Tokka, Lebang Gumani is a music instrument common in Tripura. It is a combination of bamboo clappers in which miniature tuntunes, a string instrument, are attached. The instrument is played with claps. The rhythm of sound attracts the crop destroying insects and the insects are caught on playing. Such a play is common among Tripuris (Tipera Tribes) in Tripura.
