Tuntune

Tuntune (Tunatune) is a musical instrument with a single string similar to a flute.

This folk instrument has a cylindrical metal resonator, which is open on the top. The base is covered and is attached with a bamboo shaft. There is a steel string tied to the bamboo shaft, through which the user plays. The instrument is commonly played in Maharashtra. It can also be seen in the hands of mendicants especially Davre Jogis (caste) who are wandering from village to village, singing songs and collecting arms.
