Kuruva Islands




Kuruva Islands, spread over 950 acres of lush green land, is set between the tributaries of the Kabani River, in Wayanad District of Kerala. This uninhabited island is an ideal picnic spot.

Kuruva consists of three islands and a few submergible satellite islands. The main island has two fresh water lakes. Kuruva Islands is home to several migratory birds, apart from rare species of orchids and herbs.

Kuruva Islands is 17 km east of Mananthavady and 40 km north-west of Sulthan Bathery. Kalpetta is 44 km away.
