Khirao

Khirao is a small settlement in Chamoli District, Uttaranchal. It lies near the National Highway connecting Govindghat and Badrinath. Khirao is well connected by road with Joshimath and Chamoli.

Hanumanchatti, the starting point of the trek to Dodi Tal, is within a short distance from here. Badrinath, one of the foremost pilgrim centers of India, is easily accessible.

Regular bus services connect Khirao with Joshimath. Rishikesh Railway Station serves this area. Jolly Grant Airport is the nearest airport.
