Khappar Dam




The 11 m high, 1100 long Khappar Dam is an earthen dam, located at Jhansi. Constructed across the River Khappar, this dam irrigates the region around, through the main canal. Built in 1986, Khappar Dam is a major attraction at Jhansi. The government of Uttar Pradesh took about 6 years for the completion of this dam. This dam also provides drinking water to the community. The major tourist attractions of Jhansi including Jhansi Fort are easily accessible from here. The nearest airport is at Gwalior.
