Khadiravana

Khadiravana is situated about 40 km north-west of Vrindavan in Mathura District. The forest is believed to have derived its name from the word 'khaira', which means 'to chase or pursue'. Devotees believe that this is the place where Lord Krishna killed the demon Bakasura.

Radha Krishna Temple is the major point of attraction at the forest. The famous Dauji Temple is only 10 km from here. By road, Varsana is about 10 km from Khadiravana Forest. Nandagaon Railway Station and Agra Civil Enclaves are the major access points nearby.
