Kedareswara Temple

Kedareswara Temple is a highly revered shrine located at Hajo, about 32 km north-west of Guwahati in Kamrup District. The presiding deity here is Lord Shiva, popularly known here as Kedareswara or Kedara.

The main idol of the temple is a huge Shivling, believed to be a swayambhu one. The Shivling appears to be an Ardhanariswara form of Lord Shiva.

King Rajeshwar Singha adjoined two walls in the gateway of the temple in 1753. Hayagriva-Madhava Temple and Ganesha Temple are some other spot worth visiting around.

Guwahati Junction Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
