Kalyansagar Lake




Excavated during the reign of Maharaja Kalyan Manikya (1625-1660 AD), Kalyansagar is a prominent lake in Udaipur town of South Tripura District.

This artificial lake is on the eastern side of Mata Tripureswari Temple (Tripura Sundari Temple), dedicated to Goddess Kali. The lake is considered sacred and devotees worship the fishes and tortoises present here. Fishing is not allowed.
