Humbaj Teerth

Humbaj Teerth is located in the village of Hombuja in Shimoga District. The Jain idol is a black-colored idol of Bhagvan Parshwanath in the padmasana posture. This temple belongs to the times of Jinduttarai, the son of King Sakar of Mathura of the seventh century of the Vikram era.

There are some idols made of Navaratna which are beautiful. The Padmavati temple, nearby, is very rich and splendid. Every year a procession of Padmavati Devi takes place in the month of March.

Hombuja is about 25 km from Arasalu.
