Lying at an elevation of 9,228 ft, Hawal is a scenic village in Kargil District of Jammu and Kashmir. It is about 140 km south-east of Srinagar. Hawal is bounded by Hanzal in the west, Metwan in the north, Chishot in the east and Shazal in the south.
