Ganesha Temple




Ganesha Temple is a highly revered shrine located at Hajo, about 32 km north-west of Guwahati, in Kamrup District. It is situated at the foot of Kamaleswar Temple. The presiding deity here is Lord Ganesh, popularly known here as Deba Bhabana.

Ganesha Temple was constructed on a giant elephant shaped rock by King Pramatta Singha, in 1744.

Kedareswara Temple and Hayagriva-Madhava Temple are some other spot worth visiting around.

Guwahati Junction Railway Station is the major railhead nearby.
