Derwa




Derwa, a town in Pratapgarh District, is to the south-west of the district headquarters of Bela with which it is connected by a branch road. Neighboring places are Jathwara, Mandhata and Dharupur. It is about 10 km from Lalganj, 23 km from Chitpalgarh and 25 km from Lalgopalganj.

Kunda, a town around 25 km south-west of Derwa, has temples dedicated to Sheetla Devi and Kasmin Devi. Yearly fairs held at these temples bring thousands of people to worship the goddesses and take bath in the river Ganges.

Pratapgarh Junction Railway Station and Varanasi Airport are the major access points for Derwa.
