Dahijora




Dahijora is located in East Singhbhum District of Jharkhand and lies on the outskirts of Ghatshila town. This region interspersed by numerous hillocks and lush greenery presents a serene environment. Adding to the beauty is the waters of the Suvarnarekha River, which flows through this region.

Important places to visit in this village include a shrine dedicated to the religious leader Ramakrishna Paramahamsa and an organization named Bibhuti Sanskriti Parishad, which is associated with a renowned Bengali writer Bibhutibhushan Banerjee. Another interesting place is the Phuldunguri hillock, which has a quaint reputation of fulfilling the wishes of lovers.

Other major nearby tourist spots include Burudih Dam and the Dharagiri Waterfalls, where wild elephants are spotted occasionally. Bullock carts are available for daylong hire.

The nearest railhead to Dahijora is Ghatshila Railway Station. Regular auto rickshaw services are available from Ghatshila town.
