Chitrachedu




Chitrachedu is located on the northern bank of Penneru River in Anantapur District. It is the site of a stone image of Hanuman, shaped out of a rock. The image is 25 ft high and carries Lord Ram, Lakshman and Sita on its shoulders. Inderjeet (son of King Ravana) is found between its feet. This idol of Hanuman is considered to be the biggest in Anantapur District. It is also known as 'Kotakonda Hanumantharayadu'.

Chitrachedu is 9 km from Pamadi.
