Chhinka

Chhinka is a small settlement in Chamoli District of Uttaranchal. It lies near the National Highway connecting Chamoli and Joshimath. Some of the nearby cities and villages are Gopeshwar, Bhimtalla, Mayasur and Pipalkoti.

Alaknanda River, the main tributary of the River Ganges, flows very close to this village. Joshimath and Chamoli are the nearest major towns. Gopeshwar Mahadeva Temple, an ancient shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva, is situated nearby.

Regular bus services connect Chhinka with Chamoli. Rishikesh Railway Station serves this area. Jolly Grant Airport is the nearest airport.
