Chatra Mela is mainly a cattle fair held during the
Durga Ashtami. It takes place at
Chatra in
Jharkhand.
The fair is said to have commenced in 1882. On the festival day, the devotees recite mantras and offer flowers to Goddess Durga and pray for her blessings.
