Chanda is a rural township in Sultanpur District. Situated on National Highway 56, the town is close to the Pratapgarh District border. The district headquarters of Sultanpur is 24 km away.

A variety of clay known as multani mitti, once used by women to beautify their skin, is found in Dewar, a hamlet close to Chanda.

Just 7 km from Chanda is Koiripur, a beautiful town with temples of Lord Hanuman, Lord Ram, Sita and Lord Shiva.
