Barua Sagar Fort, atop a hill, overlooks the vast reservoir created by the dam on Betwa River. The fort witnessed a fierce battle between the Marathas and Chandelas in 1744.
This sandstone fort at Barua Sagar is now being restored by the Archaeological Survey of India.
