Aaran festival is the New Year festival of the
Adi Tribe of
Arunachal Pradesh. To welcome the New Year and spread the message of the New Year, the children, men and women go round the village from house to house, collecting food materials for a feast after the festival.
Yakjong, a religious dance, is performed during the festival.
