Hemtabad

Hemtabad is a small town in North Dinajpur District of West Bengal. It is situated 115 km south of Siliguri and 12 km north-east of Raiganj.

Important places around the town include Bindola (10 km north), Kaliyaganj (12 km east) and Itahar. Raiganj Bird Sanctuary and tomb of Hussain Shah (a Muslim saint) are popular destinations.

Raiganj Railway Station serves Hemtabad. The nearest international airport is at Kolkata.
