The ancient Syamaleswar Temple is located at
Dantan in
West Bengal. A large stone statue of a bull lying in front of a
Shivling can be seen at the entrance of the temple. There are two large tanks, named Bidyadhar and Sarasankha, close to the temple. Dantan is 40 miles south of
Midnapore. Dantan Railway Station is nearby.
