Suralaya Glacier, a picturesque lake, is located six km away from Vasuki Tal in Uttarkashi District. It lies at an elevation of 5,456 m along the Gangotri Glacier-Badrinath trek route. It provides magnificent views of Chandra Parvat and Satopanth Peak. The first people to trek to Suralaya Glacier were Shipton and Tilman in 1923.
