Phoolchatti




Phoolchatti Village is situated at an elevation of 2,561 m, three km away from Hanumanchatti in Uttarkashi District. It lies at the confluence of the Nayyar and Ganga, on the Yamunotri trek route. Phoolchatti has an ancient ashram (the Phoolchatti Ashram), which is situated in a wild nature area on the banks of the Ganges. It is surrounded by forests and meadows. The place presents excellent views of the wooded hills and deep valleys all around. It is an ideal spot for fishing. Rock climbing and trekking are arranged here.

Nearby interesting places to visit are Ranachatti, Gangotri, Surya Kund, Dharasu and Sayanachatti.

The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport and the nearest railway station is at Rishikesh. Phoolchatti is connected by road to Barkot and Uttarkashi.
