Kanol is a picturesque village situated 10 km from Wan in Chamoli District. It is located at an altitude of 2,750 m and lies on the Nanda Devi Trek route. Nearby places to visit are Roop Kund Lake, Sutol, Kanol Pass, Mundoli, Nanda Ghunti, Nandakini Valley and Kauri Pass. Trekking and mountaineering are the main attractions.
