Har-Ki-Doon Valley




Har-Ki-Doon Valley is one of the most scenic spots in the Garhwal Hills of Uttaranchal. The valley is situated at the base of a peak called Fateh Parbat and is covered by a dense forest. It is also a bird-watcher's paradise. Between September and October, the valley is abloom with flowers of vibrant colors. It is also the time when a large number of tourists visit the valley. Har-Ki-Doon Valley is widely known to be the place where Duryodhana, the anti-hero of Mahabharat, is worshipped as a deity and there are temples dedicated to him.
