Rapti River




Originating in the foot hills of Nepal, the Rapti flows to the north of Behraich District. After traversing about 130 km, it enters to the northern portion of the Gonda before entering the Sant Kabir Nagar District in the north-west. The Rapti then meets the Ghaghra River.

The river has numerous tributaries, especially in the west bank. The River Ami is the main tributary.
