Bijnor




Bijnor, the headquarters of Bijnor District, is on the left bank of the Ganges River. Situated on the north-western part of Uttar Pradesh, it is a well known thread manufacturing center and a trade center for agricultural products. Sugar is the main industry of the city. Dehradun is around 70 km north of Bijnor.

Vidur Kuti, Ganj, Parasnath Kila, ruins of an ancient Jain city, and Daranagar are nearby attractions.

Nearest airport is at Dehradun. Bijnor Railway Station is a promient railhead of the district. Muzaffarnagar, one of the largest towns Uttar Pradesh, is around 50 km west of Bijnor.
