Bashta




A town in Bijnor District, Bashta is situated halfway between Chandpur and Sherpur. It is to the south of Bijnor and 60 km from Meerut.

About 4 km from Bashta is Azampur, a village famous as the birth place Abul Fazl and Faizi - two of the Navratnas (Nine Jewels) of Akbar's court. Ganj, another historic place about 23 km north of Bashta, is famous for ancient temples and ashrams.

The nearest railway station, Chandpur Railway Station is about 9 km away. Nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport.
