The Vaishnava temple at Srimushnam is one of the eight Vaishnava shrines in south India. The idol worshipped at the temple is
representing Varaha Avatar. The temple houses the chariot-shaped Purushasukta Mandapam famous for its architectural grandeur. Built by the Nayaks in the 17th century, it is elegantly carved with warriors riding horses and elephants.
