Periathadagam

Periathadagam is located 12 km from Coimbatore. The place is famous for the Arulmigu Anuvavi Subramanyar Thirukoil. The place where the temple is situated has an interesting story. Anjaneya stopped during his travel from Sanjeevani Hills to quench his thirst. Since he didn’t found water anywhere around, he prayed to Lord Muruga for water. The Lord pierced a hill with his weapon and water started to ooze out.
