Shri Dandapani Temple is situated at Poravachery, 4 km from
Nagapattinam on the Nagapattinam -
Tiruvarur route. This
Muruga temple houses the granite idols of Lord Shanmuga with his consorts Valli and Devayani. The lord is six-faced, with twelve hands, two hands showing the varada and abhaya mudras. The intricate sculpture work makes this temple stand apart from others.
