Kuzhithurai is a municipality in Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu. Spanning over an area of about five sq km, the town is situated on the Thiruvananthapuram-Kanyakumari highway. Pacode is situated in the north-east and Nalloor in the south-east. Tamiravaruni River flows through the town. Kuzhithurai Amman Temple, dedicated to Sri Mahalakshmi, is the prominent attraction. Kuzhithurai is about 24 km from Nagercoil, 16 km from Colachel and 15 km from Neyyattinkara. Nearby excursions include Kovalam, Thengapattinam (9 km), Marthandam (5 km), Colachel Port, Adhikesava Perumal Temple at Thiruvattar, Kulasekaram (14 km), Padmanabhapuram Palace, Manavalakurichi and Muttam. Accommodation facilities are available at Abad Palmshore Beach Resort, Hotel Marine Palace and Pappukutty Beach Resort in Kovalam. Trivandrum International Airport is the nearest airport. Kuzhithurai Railway Station serves the town. Kuzhithurai can be approached by road from Nagercoil and Thiruvananthapuram. National Highway 47 passes through Kuzhithurai.
